Memorizing lines, learning stage directions, projecting your voice-these essentials of a dramatic production are the flesh and bones of a play. However, you need to go beyond the mechanics in order to make a play live. All the work that goes into preparing a drama must be invisible in the final production. The audience should not be aware of all the rehearsals, the hundreds of times each piece of dialogue has been spoken, the hours spent working out the blocking. The performance needs to be as fresh as if it’s happening for the very first time.
The Drama department is a vibrant group of individuals with a passion for theater and acting. The drama team uses today's real life situations and circumstances to minister to people at all levels of their life experiences. They focus on the realism of this generation and aim to connect with members using unorthodox skits, plays and illustrated sermons.
