Maranatha Christian Fellowship is building a bus ministry to find youth and families, to bring them to church, and to teach them the scriptures. We are ambassadors for Christ, committed to going out into the neighborhoods for the one purpose of seeing families saved, baptized, and added to the church. We exist to transform the families we reach from “bus families” to “church families”. We exist to train others for the work of the ministry.
Every soul is important to God. He sent his son to seek and to save. And he gave Christians the command to “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Are you interested in the transportation ministry?
Transportation Ministry Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning the van and bus for ministry use.
2. Responsible for the oil and tire maintenance of the van and its upkeep.
3. Responsible for ensuring the van has fuel and the doors are locked when parking the van.
4. Recommend to the Trustee and/or Official Board a budget for the acquisition of needed tires, repairs and other parts.
5. Develop driver schedules for regular church services, bible study, special outings, various church-wide functions, and special events.
6. Schedule the use of the van by committees or groups within the Church and by outside organizations or individuals.
7. Determine the availability of the church van prior to scheduling events for use by the other committees or groups within the church.
8. Assist the elderly and disabled when entering and exiting the van.
